Backyard Grill

TV Menu

Backyard Grill is a restaurant run by the brother of the other restaurant.

So the menu was easy to change today because they all agreed they want the same thing:

These are before and after.

The difference from Grill House (the other restaurant) is number one the color scheme.

The Grill House is dominantly orange where as this one ie green.

So in the menu, I put some of that.

The other difference is that the interior space has some old antique vibe with those arched walkway and bricks.

Branding

Because the other brother wanted his restaurant to feel more elevated through designs, I think with this interesting vibe going on with modern architecture and some old materials in the interior, I feel like the branding and the interior design later can reflect that very well. So I am going to keep exploring that as I design the paper menu.

For now, I incorporated “change 1” below to the TV menu to give a less busy look and more calm vibe.

Eventually though as I mentioned above, I want this place to feel very expensive.

Paper Menu (3/6/2025)

Today, I am going to be working on the paper menu, just finishing up with its second-iteration logo (the green one) with the same format as the Grill House one.

Yesterday, however, I gathered some images to inspire me with its branding and maybe today I can differentiate the menu a bit more with these inspirations:

Mainly I am looking to push the design further with type and spacing treatments and maybe a bit of graphical stuff here and there like having elegant border lines.
